Who we are
Board AI Institute is an executive advisory practice founded by Robert Maciejko. The website boardaiinstitute.com is operated by Board AI Institute (referred to here as “we,” “us,” or “the Institute”).
What we collect
Inquiry forms. When you submit a request through the Request a Session or Invite Robert to Speak forms, we collect the information you provide: your name, work email, organization, role or title, and the details of what you are asking about. Optional fields such as audience type, timing, budget, and industry are collected only if you choose to complete them.
Board AI Readiness Check. The Check is designed to be anonymous. We collect your answers, your STAR-tier result, and a country-level location from your network. We do not collect your name or email through the Check.
Server and access data. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. This information is used to keep the site secure and to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, to schedule and prepare for board sessions or speaking engagements, to keep the site secure and reliable, and to improve what we publish. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it to build marketing lists or send unsolicited communications.
Where it is stored
Inquiry-form submissions are stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare. Notification emails about new inquiries are delivered through Resend to Robert directly. The Readiness Check submissions are stored in the same database in anonymous form.
Third-party services
The site uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices, which apply when you interact with them:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides security and analytics at the network edge.
- Resend delivers notification emails when you submit an inquiry.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts used on the site.
- YouTube is used to embed video content. If you play an embedded video, YouTube may set cookies subject to Google’s privacy policy.
- LinkedIn hosts the AI News You Missed newsletter. Following the newsletter link takes you to LinkedIn, which has its own privacy policy.
Cookies
The site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site profiling. Third-party embeds such as YouTube may set their own cookies if you interact with them.
Retention
We keep inquiry-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your request and to maintain accurate records of engagements and follow-ups. If you would like your submission deleted, contact us at the address below and we will do so promptly.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These typically include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to request its deletion, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. International transfers
Because our infrastructure runs at the network edge across multiple regions, information you submit may be processed in countries other than the one you are in, including the United States and the European Union. Our third-party providers apply their own contractual and technical safeguards to those transfers.
Children
The Institute is directed at boards, chairs, and senior executives. The site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be noted here.
